Branston Ltd in Lincoln is seeking a Materials Controller on a maternity cover FTC. You will ensure ingredients, including raw materials, are available for production on time and in full, with accurate ERP data and strong supplier liaison.

The role emphasises planning, stock control, and continuous improvement to reduce waste and support production teams. You will work closely with Production and Quality to keep systems up to date and audits ready.

Responsabilités

• Purchase Order control: place and control Purchase Orders to support production requirements.
• Supplier liaison: ensure on-time, in-full deliveries; raise issues early and resolve them.
• Material scheduling: align with production needs and forecast changes.
• Prevent stock issues: identify risks, investigate root causes, report clearly, drive solutions.
• Continuous improvement: review requirements and seek smarter ways to improve service.
• Daily/weekly evaluation: review yields and maintain stock count accuracy.
• System accuracy: enter and maintain data in online systems for audit readiness.

Materials Controller - Maternity Cover

Location: Lincoln (on-site)

As a Materials Controller, your key focus is straightforward but vital: ensure ingredients, including raw materials, are available for production, on time, in full, and without unnecessary waste. You'll be the person who helps production teams breathe easier because the right materials are in the right place at the right time.

What you'll be doing

• Purchase Order control: place and control Purchase Orders to support production requirements.
• Supplier liaison: work with suppliers to ensure deliveries arrive on time and in full, raising issues early and resolving them effectively.
• Material scheduling: schedule materials in line with production needs and regularly review plans against forecast changes.
• Prevent stock issues: identify potential stock problems, investigate root causes, report clearly, and drive solutions.
• Continuous improvement: constantly assess and review departmental requirements, looking for smarter ways to improve accuracy, service levels and efficiency.
• Daily/weekly evaluation: review yields and maintain stock count accuracy to ensure the ordering system stays live and correct.
• System accuracy: enter and maintain data in the online systems to keep records live, accurate and audit-ready.
