Job summary

A Master Scheduler role with a leading UK manufacturer is available to join our expanding team. You will develop and maintain production plans and schedules to ensure customer deadlines are met and monitor stock levels to prevent bottlenecks.

Applicants should have production planning experience within a complex manufacturing environment, plus ERP/MRP experience and advanced Excel skills. Strong time management, organisation and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines are

Qualifications

  • Experience in production planning within a complex manufacturing environment.
  • ERP/MRP experience and strong Excel/MS Office skills.
  • High attention to detail and excellent time management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on demand, inventory, and capacity.
  • Translate customer orders, forecasts, and programme requirements into achievable production schedules.
  • Balance customer demand against available manufacturing capacity, labour, tooling, materials, and equipment.
  • Establish production priorities based on customer requirements, contractual commitments, inventory position, and operational constraints.
  • Maintain schedule integrity within the ERP/MRP system.
  • Identify potential capacity constraints and develop recovery or mitigation plans.
  • Regularly review and re-sequence the schedule in response to changes in demand, material availability, machine capacity, quality issues, and operational performance.
