Job summary

V.Group is seeking an experienced Master to command the Orient Express Olympian on a shipboard assignment starting January 2027. This senior role requires proven experience as Master on cruise vessels, STCW and statutory certificates, and excellent command of English and French.

You will lead an international crew, ensure safety, navigation and compliance with SOLAS and company policies. The contract is 2 months on/off, with rotation details to be confirmed, and reports to SVP Marine.

Qualifications

• Valid CoC Master unlimited A-II/2.
• Valid STCW95 certification.
• Certification as required by regulations for the position.
• Experience as Captain on varied class of ships and itineraries.
• Physically and medically fit with certification.
• Moral integrity is required.
• Public Health, Sanitation and Environmental certification.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe operation of the vessel and ensures it is manned according to Company and legal guidelines.
• Command the vessel during navigation and maintain safety of guests and crew.
• Oversees ISPS compliance and the security plan.
• Chairs the SEPPH Committee and ensures HSE recommendations are followed.

Proven and relevant experience as MAXt
