Job summary

vgroup seeks an experienced Carpenter to join the cruise vessel ORIENT EXPRESS OLYMPIAN. Responsibilities include installing, repairing and maintaining fixtures, furnishings and equipment aboard while assisting the Deck department under the Master’s instructions.

Requirements: STCW95 certification, extensive shipboard carpentry experience, strong references, and physical fitness. Embarkation 01 April 2027 (date to be confirmed) for a 6-month ±1 contract.

Qualifications

• Valid STCW95 certification.
• Appropriate certification as required by regulations.
• Good understanding of carpentry, woodwork, maintenance and repair.
• Extensive experience in subordinate positions on board passenger ships in a similar role.
• Physically and medically fit.
• Moral integrity is required.
• Coast Guard, Port State Control and Public Health experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain fixtures, fittings, furnishings and equipment in accordance with Company Policies and applicable regulations.
• Prepare the vessel for arrival and departure.
• Support the Deck department under the Master’s or Staff Captain’s instructions.
