Job summary

Orient Express Sailing Yachts is seeking a Second Navigation Officer (OOW) to join the deck department aboard the ORIENT EXPRESS OLYMPIAN. Embarkation is March 2027 for a 2 months on/off contract.

The role covers bridge watches, environmental management, GMDSS operations, tendering and mooring duties as required by the Staff Captain. The ideal candidate will hold STCW qualifications, with rating as per Form C601d, and demonstrate experience in watchkeeping, safety, and environmental compliance

Qualifications

• STCW qualifications as per current amendments.
• Experience requirements as per form C601d.

Responsibilities

• Bridge watchkeeping as Officer of the Watch (OOW) on watch from 0000–0400 and 1200–1600.
• Environmental operations and promotion of environmental awareness onboard.
• GMDSS communications and maintenance of radio systems and networks.
• Tends and supervises mooring and tender operations when required.
• Health, Safety and Environment duties in line with company policies.
• Maintain watchstanding and communications procedures in normal and challenging conditions.
