Job summary

Fera Science Ltd is seeking a Scientific Instrument Engineer to provide expert troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and qualification support for LC-MS, GC-MS and IC-MS systems within a regulated lab setting. You will work with Waters, Agilent and Thermo platforms to maintain data integrity and instrument uptime.

Qualifications

• Experience with LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS and IC-MS/MS instrumentation.
• Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Experience in a laboratory environment with quality and data integrity focus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair and qualify LC-MS/MS, GC-MS and IC-MS systems to maximise uptime.
• Diagnose complex issues and implement solutions to minimise disruption to scientific activities.
• Collaborate with scientists, lab teams, quality colleagues and external service engineers for repairs and improvements.
• Support instrument compliance, data integrity and regulatory standards in a controlled environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and instrument performance and drive efficiency.
• Build business cases and contribute to proposals for new equipment and lab upgrades.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to colleagues to enhance capability.
