Job summary

Eurofins is recruiting a Qualitative Mass Spectrometry Specialist for a world-class pharmaceutical testing environment in Macclesfield. You will lead development, validation and application of advanced LC-MS based methods to quantify trace level impurities in drug substances and materials.

The role requires hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS and high-resolution MS, plus GMP-aligned documentation, data handling and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or related discipline with strong organic/analytical background.
• Pharmaceutical analytical experience in development laboratory environment and understanding of drug development processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and validate LC-MS methods for trace analysis of small molecules in materials and drug substances.
• Provide technical expertise to project teams on mutagenic impurities and nitrosamines at ppb levels.
• Perform complex analytical investigations and interpret data to deliver high-quality results for clients.
• Share specialist knowledge to enhance Eurofins' trace analysis capabilities and contribute to analytical programmes.
• Author/review analytical documentation, including testing plans, method development reports and validation protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex concepts effectively.
