careers@ioppublishing.org.

Be part of a community working together to make science better. A society publisher with the perfect blend of not-for-profit purpose and commercial perspective. Here, we help each other be the best we can be: a team big enough to impact and small enough to care.

At IOP Publishing, we’re passionate about advancing research and scientific knowledge to benefit society. We’re looking for a Marketing Operations Executive to join our growing Marketing Operations team on a 12 month fixed term contract, and play a key role in enabling impactful, data-driven marketing campaigns across our global audiences.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in marketing technology, customer data and campaign delivery who enjoys combining technical skills with collaboration and problem-solving.

Role Summary

As Marketing Operations Executive, you’ll support the delivery and optimisation of marketing campaigns through our marketing technology platforms. Working closely with colleagues across the marketing function, you’ll help build, deploy and track campaigns that engage our customers and improve marketing performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and deploying email campaigns, landing pages and forms
  • Creating and managing audience segmentation and marketing automation workflows with Adestra and our Customer Data Platform
  • Supporting campaign tracking, testing and quality assurance
  • Using customer data and insights to improve campaign performance and personalisation
  • Supporting the implementation and ongoing use of our Customer Data Platform (CDP)
  • Providing guidance and support to colleagues on marketing technology best practices
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and customer engagement
  • Helping maintain user guides, documentation and internal best practice resources.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is curious, detail-focused and eager to develop their expertise in marketing operations and marketing technology.

You’ll bring:

  • An understanding of marketing processes and performance metrics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • A collaborative approach and passion for continuous improvement.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms would be advantageous, but we welcome applications from candidates with transferable experience and a willingness to learn.
