Job description

Reports To: Digital Marketing Lead (but will work with the entire marketing team!)

Salary: £33,000 + perks + all the beer you can responsibly enjoy

Start Date: As soon as you’re ready to roll!

We’re Brixton Brewery — a vibrant, independent brewery bringing bold, modern beers to the heart of South London and beyond. Inspired by the electric energy and cultural mash-up of our local area, our beers are full of character, just like the people who drink them. From our lively taproom to the local festivals we support, we’re all about community, creativity, and a cold pint (or can) of greatness.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Marketing Executive to join our small but mighty marketing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get hands‑on experience across multiple facets of marketing. On the digital side, you’ll come up with creative ideas and bring them to life on social media; you’ll own our taproom socials, marketing emails and manage our online community. You'll also be at the centre of our events, helping with planning, managing our kit, as well as capturing content, looking after our performers and occasionally pouring a few pints on the ground in pubs, festivals and beyond. You don’t need years of experience (one or more will do), just a sharp eye, some creative spark, and a willingness to get stuck in.

One day you'll be filming a trend‑led reel, the next putting up a pop‑up bar and changing a keg. If that sounds like a good week to you, read on.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting into the Digital Marketing Lead you will also work closely with our Community & Events Lead, as well as our Head of Marketing to help to bring the vibrant spirit of Brixton to life across every touchpoint.

  • Own the Taproom Instagram: monthly content calendar, filming, editing, posting, stories and reporting, with the aim of getting more people through the door for events and tours
  • Create short‑form video and photo content for our social channels, including stepping in front of the camera yourself when the idea calls for it
  • Spot and jump on trends. Bring content and campaign ideas to the team every week, then make them happen
  • Capture and share content from every key event and activation, post live stories, and keep our asset library organised so nothing gets lost
  • Run community management on @brixtonbrewery: reply to comments and DMs, engage with tags and UGC, and elevate anything that needs it
  • Build relationships with followers, creators, local businesses and community partners
  • Manage the sponsorship inbox: triage requests, approve and organise smaller ones yourself, and find local causes and events worth reaching out to
  • Plan, build and send our regular marketing emails to help drive online sales and shout about events and new beers
  • Help the Digital Marketing Lead with the monthly digital report, keep trackers up to date and keep an eye on what competitors are doing
  • Keep events promoted online, including Eventbrite listings and our website events page
  • Support our Community & Events Lead with behind the scenes and on‑the‑ground support for a variety of events, festivals and pub activations, potentially running some smaller scale events (e.g Taproom DJ Sessions) single‑handedly.
  • Support our events calendar, especially in the busy summer months.

We're a small team, so everyone mucks in. You don’t need to be a bodybuilder but willingness to help move around some reasonably heavy kit is desirable! You'll be:

  • Building pop‑up bars, gazebos and event setups
  • Setting up and looking after our DJ and sound equipment
  • Keeping event kit clean, organised and ready to go
  • Changing a keg and pulling the odd pint
Who you are
  • You’ve got 1+ years’ experience in a marketing, social or content role, ideally in drinks, hospitality, lifestyle or events.
  • You’re comfortable juggling multiple things and staying organised. You take ownership & initiative and hit deadlines, flagging early if something's slipping.
  • You're full of ideas and confident sharing them.
  • You're practical and hands‑on. You like figuring things out for yourself and don’t mind helping to move equipment around and working up a sweat when needed.
  • You're up for evening and weekend events (we’ll give you time back).
  • You're comfortable on camera (or keen to be), and good at directing colleagues who aren’t used to being filmed and getting natural, authentic moments out of them.
  • You're confident filming and editing across formats: capturing photos, short Reels, talking‑head videos and quick, lo‑fi reactive content.
  • You're chronically online in the best possible way and treat your feeds as ongoing creative research.
What You’ll Get
  • A fantastic opportunity to work in marketing in the beer industry.
  • The chance to grow with a small team.
  • Staff discount on beer, merch & Taproom goodies.
  • Access to beer tastings, festivals, and behind‑the‑scenes brewery experiences.
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays + birthday day off.
  • Enhanced Parental Leave.
  • Company‑funded Private Medical Healthcare.
  • A monthly case of our delicious beers.
  • Enhanced Pension contributions.
  • A supportive, fun, and inclusive workplace (with tunes, team socials and brewery vibes).
