Job summary

Morrisons Market Street bakery is hiring motivated staff to deliver friendly, customer-focused service and to bake a wide range of fresh goods daily. You will keep displays vibrant and fully stocked, while operating bakery equipment safely and upholding health standards.

We welcome applicants with experience in fast-paced food environments who care about quality and customer service, and you must be over school leaver's age.

• Care about quality fresh food and customer service.
• Must be over school leaver's age; some roles require 18+ due to safety.

Our fresh in-store bakeries are a huge part of what makes Market Street special. From fresh bread and rolls to baps, barms, cobs, and jam doughnuts, our Bakers craft delicious baked goods every single day.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Deliver friendly, helpful service that highlights the fresh bakery products we offer every shift.
• Prepare quality baked goods: Bake and prepare a wide range of breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited products to company specification.
• Maintain vibrant displays: Keep fresh, attractive bakery displays fully stocked throughout the trading day to ensure product availability.
• Keep operations safe and smooth: Operate bakery equipment safely, maintain high health and safety standards, and support other fresh counters when needed.

Whether you’ve worked in a retail bakery, a commercial kitchen, or a fast-paced food environment, if you care about quality fresh food, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll be the kind of person who:

• Confidently uses bakery equipment: Skilled in preparing bakery products to spec using ovens, provers, and mixers safely.
• Enjoys an active, hands-on role: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking pride in fresh food presentation.
• Loves helping people: Warm, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to support customers and resolve queries.
• Works flexibly with the team: Happy to lend a helping hand across other Market Street fresh counters to support store colleagues.
