Job summary

Morrisons is hiring for a Bakery Assistant to support our fresh bakery counters. You will help deliver friendly service and showcase our range of breads and baked goods to shoppers.

In this role you will bake and prepare products to our standards, keep displays vibrant and well stocked, and operate bakery equipment safely while maintaining high health and safety practices. You will work as part of a team across shifts to ensure customers receive quick, helpful assistance and consistently

Qualifications

• Experience in retail bakery or fast-paced food environment is preferred.
• Ability to bake and prepare bakery products to spec using ovens and mixers.
• Strong customer service and teamwork.

Our fresh in-store bakeries are a huge part of what makes Market Street special. From fresh bread and rolls to baps, barms, cobs, and jam doughnuts, our Bakers craft delicious baked goods every single day.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Deliver friendly, helpful service that highlights the fresh bakery products we offer every shift.
• Prepare quality baked goods: Bake and prepare a wide range of breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited products to company specification.
• Maintain vibrant displays: Keep fresh, attractive bakery displays fully stocked throughout the trading day to ensure product availability.
• Keep operations safe and smooth: Operate bakery equipment safely, maintain high health and safety standards, and support other fresh counters when needed.
