Morrisons Market Street in Hull is seeking a friendly Bakery Assistant to join our fresh in-store bakery team. You’ll help deliver great customer service, bake a range of breads and pastries, and keep displays bright and well stocked.

You’ll work safely with bakery equipment, support other counters as needed, and be part of a store that values career progression and staff benefits including discounts, pension, and wellbeing options.

• Experience in retail bakery, commercial kitchen, or fast-paced food environment.

• Maintain vibrant displays: Keep fresh, attractive bakery displays fully stocked throughout the trading day to ensure product availability.
• Keep operations safe and smooth: Operate bakery equipment safely, maintain high health and safety standards, and support other fresh counters when needed.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Deliver friendly, helpful service that highlights the fresh bakery products we offer every shift.
• Prepare quality baked goods: Bake and prepare a wide range of breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited products to company specification.
• Maintain vibrant displays: Keep fresh, attractive bakery displays fully stocked throughout the trading day to ensure product availability.
• Keep operations safe and smooth: Operate bakery equipment safely, maintain high health and safety standards, and support other fresh counters when needed.

Whether you’ve worked in a retail bakery, a commercial kitchen, or a fast-paced food environment, if you care about quality fresh food, we'd love to hear from you.

You’ll be the kind of person who:

• Confidently uses bakery equipment: Skilled in preparing bakery products to spec using ovens, provers, and mixers safely.
• Enjoys an active, hands-on role: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking pride in fresh food presentation.
• Loves helping people: Warm, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to support customers and resolve queries.
• Works flexibly with the team: Happy to lend a helping hand across other Market Street fresh counters to support store colleagues.
