Morrisons Market Street Bakery in the UK is looking for a friendly, hands-on Baker to join our fresh in-store bakery team. You’ll prepare quality breads, rolls, doughnuts and other bakery items to our specification, and deliver warm, helpful service to customers throughout your shift.

You’ll keep displays vibrant and fully stocked, operate bakery equipment safely, and support other fresh counters when needed.

• Experience in bakery or fast-paced food environment.
• Ability to operate bakery equipment safely.
• Commitment to quality fresh food presentation.
• Willingness to help across store counters.

Our fresh in-store bakeries are a huge part of what makes Market Street special. From fresh bread and rolls to baps, barms, cobs, and jam doughnuts, our Bakers craft delicious baked goods every single day.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Deliver friendly, helpful service that highlights the fresh bakery products we offer every shift.
• Prepare quality baked goods: Bake and prepare a wide range of breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited products to company specification.
• Maintain vibrant displays: Keep fresh, attractive bakery displays fully stocked throughout the trading day to ensure product availability.
• Keep operations safe and smooth: Operate bakery equipment safely, maintain high health and safety standards, and support other fresh counters when needed.

Whether you’ve worked in a retail bakery, a commercial kitchen, or a fast-paced food environment, if you care about quality fresh food, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll be the kind of person who:

• Confidently uses bakery equipment: Skilled in preparing bakery products to spec using ovens, provers, and mixers safely.
• Enjoys an active, hands-on role: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking pride in fresh food presentation.
• Loves helping people: Warm, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to support customers and resolve queries.
• Works flexibly with the team: Happy to lend a helping hand across other Market Street fresh counters to support store colleagues.

Please note: We are only able to recruit individuals who are over school leaver's age. Some of our roles need you to be over 18, due to health and safety requirements.
