Job summary

QinetiQ Limited in Dorset seeks a Maritime Range Technician to provide engineering and operational support for Maritime ranging systems, sensors and tracking equipment. The role focuses on maintenance, deployment and repair to maximise availability and readiness for customer trials and operations.

The position is 37 hours per week at Winfrith, Dorset, on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential to go full time. Applicants must be eligible for SC clearance and hold a Full UK Driving License.

Qualifications

• ONC/HNC in Electronic & Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Full UK Driving License
• Eligible for SC clearance

Responsibilities

• Support operation, maintenance and development of Maritime Range systems and tracking equipment
• Adhere to Engineering Policy and local procedures to maintain availability
• Provide engineering support to trials, tests and deployed operations
• Perform planned preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure readiness
• Support safe deployment, operation and recovery of assets
• Identify, investigate and resolve faults and technical issues
