Job summary

QinetiQ Group plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join a team delivering nose ranging and tracking capabilities within Underwater Test and Evaluation. You will support the UK's ranging capability under the LTPA programme, defining architecture, operations concepts, and integration for range delivery.

You'll lead technical teams, manage workloads, ensure compliance with safety standards, and produce key documents such as requirements, design descriptions and test

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification or equivalent.
• Extensive systems engineering experience across major projects.
• Ability to lead technical teams and manage junior engineers.
• Experience defining engineering outputs such as management plans and test reports.
• Familiarity with regulatory, safety and technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Apply a systems engineering approach across projects.
• Engage with stakeholders, project managers and technical teams to meet customer and business requirements.
• Lead technical teams, structuring workloads, reviewing outputs and managing junior systems engineers.
• Define and apply systems engineering processes including requirements engineering, system design and support.
• Deliver technical documentation, reporting progress and escalating major technical issues where required.
• Apply relevant regulatory, safety and technical standards to ensure compliance.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of requirements, specifications and system design with negotiation and presentation skills.
