QinetiQ Group plc in Portsmouth is seeking a Senior Communications Engineer to lead the development and delivery of underwater maritime communication capabilities. You will guide design, integration and testing, support trials, create high-quality technical documentation and provide leadership to diverse teams.

The role requires a STEM degree, a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites and trials. Onsite 37 hours/week at Portsmouth with travel to other sites.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or another relevant STEM discipline.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer, laboratory and maritime trial locations as required.

Aufgaben

• Provide technical leadership across maritime underwater communications projects and bids.
• Lead the design, development, integration and testing of communications systems and capabilities.
• Manage technical assurance activities and ensure compliance with standards, processes and procedures.
• Support planning and execution of trials, experimentation and technology demonstration activities.
• Produce and review technical reports, presentations and delivery plans.
• Mentor and develop engineers and scientists; support team capability growth and resource planning.
• Deliver communications engineering projects across full system lifecycle from concept to acceptance.
• Demonstrate experience in maritime or underwater communications and related defence environments.
