Thales Group in the UK is seeking a Software DevOps Engineer for the Maritime Mission Systems team in Cheadle. You will help modernise the DevOps platforms that support sonar software development for domestic and international customers.

You will collaborate with software engineers to improve developer experience, performance, and security, implementing CI/CD pipelines and IaC while adopting containerisation and monitoring best practices to ensure reliable, mission-critical delivery.

Formación

• Experience in Agile and DevOps environments with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Linux administration with Docker/Podman container tech.
• Automation/scripting using Bash, Python or Go.
• Knowledge of orchestration, infrastructure automation and modern DevOps.
• Understanding of networking, cybersecurity, monitoring and SBOMs.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and enhance DevOps platforms and development tooling.
• Develop, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines for software delivery.
• Modernise legacy development environments with modern DevOps practices.
• Investigate, evaluate and implement modern DevOps tools and IaC.
• Develop and support in-house tooling while improving performance, availability and security.
