Job summary

Thales is looking for a Software DevOps Engineer to join its Maritime Mission Systems team in Cheadle, United Kingdom. In this pivotal role, you'll modernize DevOps platforms that support sonar capabilities for the Royal Navy. Your responsibilities will include enhancing the developer experience and platform performance while introducing state-of-the-art DevOps tooling.

The ideal candidate will have robust experience in Agile environments, strong scripting and automation skills, and a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles. Benefits include a performance bonus, private healthcare, and 28 days annual leave.

Qualifications

• Experience in Agile and DevOps environments, supporting software delivery through CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Linux administration skills with experience in container technologies.
• Experience with automation and scripting using multiple tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance DevOps platforms and development tooling.
• Develop, maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for software delivery.
• Modernize and migrate legacy development environments using contemporary practices.

Linux administration (Red Hat preferred)

Container technologies (Docker or Podman)

Automation and scripting (Ansible, Bash, Python, Go)
