Job summary

Uber Boat by Thames Clippers in London is seeking a Facilities Manager (Maritime Infrastructure) to lead the safe, compliant operation of maritime facilities and assets. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on operational oversight, including asset lifecycle management and stakeholder engagement.

Reports to the Chief Operating Officer and may have up to five direct reports. A strong focus on safety, quality, and customer experience is essential to support operational delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities or infrastructure management, ideally within a maritime, transport, or regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, contracts, and suppliers.
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Maritime Infrastructure function, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and safety management systems.
• Oversee day-to-day operations to meet contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements.
• Ensure all processes, procedures, and risk assessments are documented, implemented, and maintained.
• Manage all maritime and facilities assets, including piers, access equipment, office locations, and welfare facilities.
• Develop and implement preventative and reactive maintenance programmes.
• Lead on permits, licences, and statutory approvals (e.g. river works and environmental consents).
• Define training requirements and ensure all team members are competent and compliant.
