Job summary

James Fisher and Sons plc is seeking a Decarbonisation Manager in London with hybrid working. You will lead the division's decarbonisation pathway, oversee greenhouse gas inventories, and coordinate cross‑functional teams to deliver carbon reduction projects and energy efficiency initiatives.

The role requires knowledge of maritime decarbonisation regulations, data analysis skills, and the ability to develop business cases for decarbonisation opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability or related field.
• Knowledge of SEEMP, CII, EU ETS, UK ETS and FuelEU Maritime.
• Experience with carbon accounting methodologies and GHG reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a sustainability strategy, goals and KPIs aligned with the Group’s strategy, focusing on emissions reduction and energy efficiency.
• Develop and maintain the Division's decarbonisation pathway to deliver greenhouse gas reduction targets.
• Drive and deliver sustainability projects, including continuous improvement of operations and testing innovative technologies.
• Monitor policy and regulation changes related to Sustainability and ESG, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
• Prepare regular sustainability updates for Group and external parties on achievements and impacts.
