Canopius is seeking an experienced Marine Liabilities Underwriter in London to join our Marine team. You will operate with underwriting authority, applying disciplined risk selection, technical pricing and strong broker engagement to drive profitable growth.

You will collaborate with actuarial, claims and reinsurance teams, ensuring governance and regulatory compliance while strengthening Canopius’ market position in marine liabilities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Marine Liability underwriting, Lloyd's or London Market preferred.
• Able to assess risk, price, and structure policies.
• Established broker relationships and credible market presence.

Responsabilités

• Support Marine Underwriting Head in executing Liabilities strategy.
• Underwrite new and renewal marine liability risks within authority.
• Drive profitable growth via portfolio management and cycle awareness.
• Monitor performance and identify high-quality opportunities.
• Strengthen broker and client relationships for market access.
• Collaborate with actuarial, claims, and reinsurance teams on decisions.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and underwriting governance.
• Produce insight-led portfolio reporting for decision making.
