Our Client, in the oil and gas industry, is looking for a Manufacturing Test Technician for a 1 year contract in Stonehouse
You will be responsible for test, fault finding, and repair of various electrical and electronic systems and components. You’ll be working with the production team to help in the completion of tasks, including tool assembly, calibration, and testing with the production team comprised of assemblers, Mechanical manufacturing Technicians, and supervisors.
You will be delivering a range of electrical and electromechanical tools. You’ll be testing electrical and electromechanical tools based on the procedure and interacting with MRP systems (SAP). You will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing the test equipment used to test tools.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:Further education in Electrical or Electronic engineering (e.g ONC, HNC, HND, NVQ Level 2)
Proven ability to work successfully within design constraints.
Experience using electronic lab equipment (Multi-meter, Oscilloscope, Low Voltage Power Supplies, High Voltage Power Supply (up to 400VDC), etc) to make measurements on and for test and debugging of electromechanical assemblies
As part of the recruitment process a practical test will be performed. The test will involve testing a standard sub-assembly following its test procedure. The practical test will be followed by a personal interview for candidate and the company to discuss additional requirements and preferences.
Good competencies with electronic technician tools and general test equipment.
Capable of producing deliverable items from full drawing packs with minimal additional help to relevant IPC standards.
Good electronic technician skills. Experience in; testing, low and high voltage experience, basic soldering, crimping, and assembly.
Basic fault finding and rectification at system and component level.
