Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Manufacturing Test Technician for a 12-month contract onsite in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. The role involves test, fault finding and repair of electrical and electronic systems, working with production, calibration, testing and SAP/MRP interactions.

You will perform soldering, crimping, wiring, and hands-on testing, using hand tools and maintaining test equipment. A background in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is preferred.

• Further education in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Duties – Manufacturing Test Technician

• Test, fault finding, and repair of various electrical and electronic systems and components.
• Working with the production team to help in the completion of tasks, including tool assembly, calibration, and testing
• Testing electrical and electromechanical tools based on the procedure and interacting with MRP systems (SAP).
• Responsible for maintaining and repairing the test equipment used to test tools.
• Soldering, crimping and general wiring skills
• Use of hand tools
• Fault finding
• Work in accordance with engineering diagram and schematics

Skills/Experience – Manufacturing Test Technician

• Further education in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience

Candidates who are currently an Assembler, Electronics Assembler, PCB Assembler, Electrical Assembler, Production Operative, Wire Person, Manufacturing Operative and Technician could be suitable for this position.
