Job summary

Polytec Ltd. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for our client in Melbourn, near Royston. The role involves assembling small plastic components and adhering to strict quality standards, with PPE requirements including hairnet, gloves and coat.

Hours are 8:00–16:30, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours). After training there will be weekly rotation to early/late shifts (6:15–14:15 and 14:00–22:00). This is a temporary, long‑term position paying £17 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling small items.
• Attention to detail, good dexterity and awareness of quality requirements.
• Cleanroom experience would be useful but full training will be given. You must be comfortable in lab PPE including hairnet, shoe covers, gloves and coat.
• Familiarity with a glovebox assembly would be beneficial.
