Job summary

CMD Recruitment partners with a well-established manufacturing business in Melksham to recruit a Production Technician for their expanding team.

You will assemble and manufacture electronic products, using soldering irons, hand crimp tools, and heat-shrink materials, and read wiring diagrams to ensure builds meet specifications. The role requires adherence to procedures and health & safety standards, with close collaboration with the test team.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics manufacturing or production assembly.
• Able to use hand tools, soldering and crimping.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and drawings.
• Electronics or Engineering qualification advantageous but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and manufacture electronic products to specification.
• Work with soldering irons, handheld crimp tools, and heat-shrink materials.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Follow build procedures and health & safety standards.
• Collaborate with the test team on inspections and in-process testing.
• Highlight and report build issues to the Production Supervisor.
