Job summary

ABB is seeking a hands-on Application Developer to lead end-to-end delivery of IT/OT solutions in a manufacturing environment. You will design, develop, test, deploy, and document applications using C#, .NET, and web technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong Windows/SQL Server skills, IIS administration, and experience with Reporting Services. Desirable SAP integration exposure, Power BI/PowerApps knowledge, and ITIL4 awareness. Onsite in Stonehouse, UK.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in C# and .NET development (Webforms, WinForms, WPF)
  • Proficient with IIS setup, configuration and support
  • Solid SQL Server skills including stored procedures
  • Proficient in web tech: HTML, CSS, Angular
  • Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services, XML; ZPL desirable
  • Exposure to SAP integrations (BAPI/RFC) desirable
  • Power BI or PowerApps knowledge desirable
  • ITIL 4 awareness desirable
  • Industry 4.0/digital manufacturing familiarity desirable

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end application delivery from requirements gathering to deployment and documentation
  • Translate user issues into actionable statements and drive timely resolutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day factory system issues to minimize disruption
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and defined processes
  • Align local solutions with broader IT strategies and support cross-functional stakeholders
