Job summary

ABB UK seeks an experienced Operations Manager to oversee local unit operations across project management, manufacturing, maintenance, procurement, quality, and planning. You will drive action plans aligned with strategic targets while ensuring health, safety and integrity standards.

Based in Coleshill, this hybrid role requires leadership to develop teams, monitor budgets, and optimize working capital across the value chain.

Qualifications

  • Proven (5+ yrs.) experience in (service or manufacturing) operations management.
  • Strong leadership and people skills with experience in building and developing teams.
  • Customer-centric mindset with strong commercial understanding.
  • Experience in operational excellence, quality management, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operational aspects of local units, including project management, manufacturing, maintenance, procurement, quality, and planning.
  • Develop business action plans aligned with division strategy and targets.
  • Monitor budgets and implement corrective actions to manage costs within allocations.
  • Lead programs, projects, goals, and metrics to maximize operational performance and working capital.
  • Ensure an end-to-end value chain view to meet quality, service levels, and lead times.
