Join us as a Manufacturing System Technician at Azenta Life Sciences

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing System Technician to join our team. The role involves assembling Azenta’s Sample Stores, BioStores, and related sub-assemblies. Candidates should have proven electrical experience, including crimping electrical pins, assembling cables, and fault-finding 24V and 48V systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing operations, including setup, calibration, work, rework, testing, and troubleshooting of parts, components, and final system assemblies.
• Assist with customer site installations focusing on mechanical assembly, when required.
• Utilize sophisticated programs to collect and analyze operating data for on-line adjustments.
• Develop methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams to control or modify manufacturing processes.
• Engage in Continuous Improvement activities to enhance productivity.
• Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions.
• Guide and supervise team members as needed.
• Perform ad-hoc functions as required by the team.

Qualifications

• HNC or further education to City and Guilds level or recognized apprenticeship.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Understanding of electrical systems and wiring diagrams; practical assessment may be required.
