Job summary

Bristol Industrial in the United Kingdom is seeking a Manufacturing Shift Supervisor to lead a team of 80 on a 6-2/2-10 shift, seven days a week. The role is hands-on, focusing on people, workflow, quality and delivery.

You will drive KPI achievement, oversee safety, plan resources, and mentor staff. Overtime on weekends is required and well compensated with a 12.5% shift uplift.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 80 staff in a busy production environment, focusing on people, workflow, performance, output, quality and health & safety.
• Build a strong team culture based on communication, collaboration, and engagement.
• Lead by example and provide guidance to your team, helping them develop their skills and reach their full potential.
• Meet production schedules, achieve KPIs, and contribute to the overall success of the department.
• Analyse production processes, identify and resolve challenges, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Develop and implement operational plans, manage resources efficiently, and oversee daily activities.
• Engage employees through daily meetings and provide insightful performance evaluations.
• Track production metrics, ensure KPIs are met, and continuously improve team practices.
• Track overtime weekly to control cost and optimize productivity.
