Job summary

Hunter Selection is supporting a Bristol-based manufacturing business in appointing an Engineering Team Leader to drive a small team of engineers and oversee maintenance activities. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on equipment reliability and delivering strong engineering performance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing, an engineering qualification (Level 2+), and proven leadership experience. FMCG exposure is a plus; a proactive CI mindset is highly valued.

Qualifications

• This role requires 5+ years in a manufacturing setting.
• Engineering qualification Level 2 or above is required.
• Experience in leading or supervising engineers is essential.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities are needed.
• A proactive, continuous improvement mindset is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of up to 5 engineers.
• Coordinate and oversee planned preventive maintenance activities.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.
• Ensure engineering standards, safety and compliance are maintained.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance & Engineering Manager to improve site performance.
