Scantec Recruitment is partnering with an FMCG manufacturer based in Harlow to recruit two Manufacturing Shift Leaders. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business that is investing heavily. They offer genuine career development and progression.

We are seeking candidates with proven leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You should be able to engage and motivate a team while maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality, and food safety. Experience in Food/FMCG is preferred but not essential, as extensive training will be provided.

The shift pattern includes:

• Early & late rotating shifts: Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm
• Night shifts: Monday to Friday, 10pm-6am

Overtime is available.

Core responsibilities include:

• Proactively ensuring health and safety compliance and safe working practices.
• Leading and ensuring H&S compliance, achieving KPIs such as near-miss reporting, SML & BRC audit scores.
• Completing pre-start checks and quality checks before production begins.
• Managing work orders, inputting OEE data, and preparing shift reports for handover.
• Maintaining hygiene and GMP standards in production areas.
• Ensuring food safety and quality standards are met throughout the shift.
• Serving as the point of contact for troubleshooting and supporting the production team.
• Assisting the Production Manager with labour planning, holiday, sickness, and agency requirements.
• Preparing for internal and external audits.
• Driving performance through short interval control and participating in production reviews.
• Supporting staff development via SOP development, training, and team briefs.
