Production Shift Leader

Petersfield

Nights 11.00pm – 7.00am Sunday – Thursday

Excellent Salary + Shift premium + Bonus

My client is a global leader in cosmetics and is seeking a Night Shift Lead to oversee all production activities within an assembly area, ensuring optimal performance to meet production targets while adhering to standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Align teams and resources to achieve the production schedule in line with WC strategy.
• Increase production capacity and reduce changeover times by prioritising changeover activities and supporting business performance.
• Develop high-performing teams through succession planning, PDPs, and 1-2-1s to maintain engagement.
• Drive high performance in the physical area of responsibility, promoting excellence and efficiency among team members.
• Facilitate cross-functional improvements and drive continuous improvement aligned with PPS, ensuring effective communication across shifts and support functions.
• Meet targets for safety, RFT, OEE, DLE, DSL, and scrap reduction.
• Manage team performance, including recognition, performance management, disciplinary actions, and workforce planning, monitoring sickness, absence, and holidays.
• Communicate plant and company updates to the team, maintaining escalation and feedback channels through the Tier structure.
• Participate in plant initiatives and projects as required.

Qualifications:

• Experience managing a team in a fast-paced FMCG environment, with strong persuasion, influence, and motivation skills. Experience with 1:1 coaching.
• Knowledge of GMP, Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient IT skills and strong written communication skills for reporting and correspondence.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret statistical and numerical data for continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to embed company principles into daily operations.
