Job summary

Westin Par LLP is seeking a skilled Shift Electrician for a permanent role in Sandwich, delivering hands-on electrical maintenance in a manufacturing setting. You'll fault-find, service AC/DC motors, and support mechanical maintenance, with a focus on reducing downtime and improving reliability.

The role operates on a four-on, four-off, 12-hour shift pattern with overtime paid at time and a half. NVQ3+ and 5+ years' experience required; strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification at NVQ Level 3 or above.
• At least five years' relevant electrical and mechanical engineering experience.
• An electrical engineering apprenticeship, ideally within manufacturing.
• Practical experience of root cause analysis and AC and DC motors.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical fault finding, repairs and planned preventative maintenance.
• Maintain AC and DC motors, with fault finding on variable speed drives.
• Provide mechanical maintenance support within your experience.
• Use root cause analysis to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and provide clear shift handovers.
• Follow safe working practices throughout all maintenance activities.
