Job summary

Morgan Jones Ltd in Sandwich, Kent is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their manufacturing team on a permanent basis. You will handle electrical and mechanical maintenance, diagnose faults and contribute to reliability improvements.

The role offers 12-hour shifts on a 4 on, 4 off rotating pattern (days and nights), a salary of £46,000 per year, and benefits including private healthcare and a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or higher in electrical engineering.
• Minimum five years' experience in electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Completed apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering, manufacturing sector preferred.
• Proven fault-finding and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience with AC and DC motors.
• Knowledge of Variable Speed Drives (VSDs).
• Good verbal and written communication; works well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults across production equipment.
• Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring issues.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
• Work with engineering and production teams to minimise downtime.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
