Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property in the United Kingdom seeks a Manufacturing Technician for night shifts in a cGMP-compliant cleanroom. You will assemble, inspect, and package single-use medical devices using hand tools and technical drawings.

This 12-month contract offers 4-on/4-off nights (18:00–06:00), with 40.25 hours weekly and enhanced night pay. Key requirements include night-shift readiness, manual dexterity, and experience in manufacturing or assembly, preferably in cleanroom or cGMP

Qualifications

• Night shift readiness for 12-hour nights (18:00–06:00) on a 4-on/4-off cycle.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive assembly with lifting.
• Hands-on dexterity with hand tools, good eyesight, and basic maths.
• Experience in manufacturing or assembly; cleanroom or cGMP knowledge is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assemble medical components inside a cleanroom following SOPs and assembly drawings.
• Use hand tools (manual, electronic, pneumatic) to setup and kit raw materials on production lines.
• Perform continuous quality inspections on finished goods against strict specifications.
• Record cGMP data accurately within batch production records.
• Adhere to cleanroom protocols, gowning procedures, and 5S standards.

Job Title: Manufacturing Technician - Night Shift (Cleanroom Assembly)

Location: Cramlington (Unit 9 Atley Way)

Pay Rate: £13.46 / hour + 30% Shift Allowance

Contract: 12-Month Contract (1 Position Available)

Shift Pattern: C-Shift - 4-on / 4-off Rotation (18:00 - 06:00, 12-hour NIGHT shifts)

Hours: 40.25 hours/week average

Working inside a cGMP-compliant cleanroom environment, you will play a key role in assembling, inspecting, and packaging single-use medical devices using hand tools and technical assembly drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble medical components inside a cleanroom following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assembly drawings.
• Use manual, electronic, and pneumatic hand tools to setup and kit raw materials on defined production lines.
• Perform continuous quality inspections on finished goods against strict specs.
• Accurately detail and record cGMP data within batch production records.
• Adhere to strict cleanroom protocols, gowning procedures, and 5S standards.

What We Are Looking For:

• Night Shift Readiness: Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts (18:00 - 06:00) on a 4-on / 4-off pattern.
• Physical Capability: Able to stand for 12 hours and perform repetitive assembly, lifting, and carrying tasks.
• Practical Skills: Hands-on dexterity with hand tools, good eyesight, and basic maths skills.
• Experience: Manufacturing or assembly experience (cleanroom or cGMP knowledge highly desirable).
