Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Night Shift Manufacturing Technician for a 12-month contract at a global healthcare manufacturing site in Cramlington. Working in a cGMP-compliant cleanroom, you will assemble, inspect, and package single-use medical devices using hand tools and production drawings.

The role requires night shift readiness, ability to stand 12 hours, and practical dexterity. On offer is higher night shift pay (£13.46/hr), full PPE, on-site training, and a fast-track onsite assessment.

Qualifications

• Night shift readiness to work 12-hour nights on a 4-on/4-off rota.
• Able to stand for 12 hours, perform repetitive assembly, lifting and carrying.
• Hands-on dexterity with hand tools, good eyesight, basic maths.
• Manufacturing or assembly experience; cleanroom or cGMP knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assemble medical components inside a cleanroom following SOPs and assembly drawings.
• Use manual, electronic, and pneumatic hand tools to setup and kit raw materials on defined production lines.
• Perform continuous quality inspections on finished goods against strict specs.
• Accurately detail and record cGMP data within batch production records.
• Adhere to strict cleanroom protocols, gowning procedures, and 5S standards.

Contract: 12-Month Contract (1 Position Available)

Shift Pattern: C-Shift - 4-on / 4-off Rotation (18:00 - 06:00, 12-hour NIGHT shifts)

Night Shift Manufacturing Technician to join a global healthcare manufacturing facility in Cramlington.

Working inside a cGMP-compliant cleanroom environment, you will play a key role in assembling, inspecting, and packaging single-use medical devices using hand tools and technical assembly drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble medical components inside a cleanroom following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assembly drawings.
• Use manual, electronic, and pneumatic hand tools to setup and kit raw materials on defined production lines.
• Perform continuous quality inspections on finished goods against strict specs.
• Accurately detail and record cGMP data within batch production records.
• Adhere to strict cleanroom protocols, gowning procedures, and 5S standards.

What We Are Looking For:

• Night Shift Readiness: Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts (18:00 - 06:00) on a 4-on / 4-off pattern.
• Physical Capability: Able to stand for 12 hours and perform repetitive assembly, lifting, and carrying tasks.
• Practical Skills: Hands-on dexterity with hand tools, good eyesight, and basic maths skills.
• Experience: Manufacturing or assembly experience (cleanroom or cGMP knowledge highly desirable).
