AMF Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Manufacturing Operative for a permanent role near Huddersfield, Bradley. Shifts run 2:00pm–10:00pm Monday to Thursday and 11:30am–5:00pm on Friday, with an hourly rate of £16.14 including a 20% shift allowance. The role focuses on following EH&S policies, ensuring quality production, working in a team, and performing manual handling with exposure to extrusion processes.

MANUFACTURING OPERATIVE

HUDDERSFIELD, BRADLEY

AFTERNOONS 2pm TO 10pm Monday to Thursday

FRIDAY 11.30AM TO 5PM

PERMANENT

£ 16.14 PER HOUR - inclusive of 20% shift allowance

Our client is a large manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Huddersfield, Bradley, and due to continued growth and expansion, they require a well versed manufacturing operative to work permanent days.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring compliance with the Company Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Policies, reporting any potentially dangerous issues/faults to your direct Team Leader or Production Manager including but not limited to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

To ensure quality products are produced in the required quantity, on time, and at the lowest possible cost, in a manner in keeping with the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures of the company.

You will work as a team to ensure departmental targets, company targets and customer deadlines are achieved.

Your role as the manufacturing operative will involve, but won't be limited to ......

• Degreasing of hoses
• Testing of hose
• Reeling up of hose
• Operate a plastic extruder
• Adhere to correct procedures
• Ensure that all documentation is completed at the correct time
• Adhere to safe working practices at all times.
• To perform the necessary safety checks to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the department and to operate in a manner conversant with the training given
• Ensure adherence to 5S in the department
• Transfer to other areas of the department/business as and when requested
• Ensure that the department's machines are kept in good working condition. Report any major maintenance issues immediately
• The Extrusion of PVC, Polyurethane and other materials.
• Work is mainly manual handling, some of which is heavy.

Monday to Thursday 2.00pm to 10.00pm

Friday 11.30am to 5.00pm - early finish on Friday's
