style shift with an early finish on Fridays and an hourly rate of £13.45. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, producing quality products on time, and maintaining documentation and repairs. Qualifications

• Must learn quickly and work well in a team.
• Good numeracy and general education level.
• Experience in mechanical engineering, extrusion, or injection moulding is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability policies and report hazards.
• Produce quality products on time and at the lowest cost, following quality and safety procedures.
• Work as a team to meet departmental targets and customer deadlines.
• Safety checks and 5S adherence; maintain machinery and arrange routine maintenance.
• Operate the extrusion process and associated tasks including hose degrease, test, reel, and documentation.

Job description

PRODUCTION OPERATOR

HUDDERSFIELD, BRADLEY

DAYS - EARLY FRIDAY FINISH

PERMANENT

£ 13.45 PER HOUR

Our client is a large manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Huddersfield, Bradley, and due to continued growth and expansion, they require a well versed production operator to work permanent days.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring compliance with the Company Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Policies, reporting any potentially dangerous issues/faults to your direct Team Leader or Production Manager including but not limited to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

To ensure quality products are produced in the required quantity, on time, and at the lowest possible cost, in a manner in keeping with the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures of the company.

You will work as a team to ensure departmental targets, company targets and customer deadlines are achieved.

Your role will involve, but won't be limited to ......

• Degreasing of hoses
• Testing of hose
• Reeling up of hose
• Operate a plastic extruder
• Adhere to correct procedures
• Ensure that all documentation is completed at the correct time
• Adhere to safe working practices at all times.
• To perform the necessary safety checks to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the department and to operate in a manner conversant with the training given
• Ensure adherence to 5S in the department
• Transfer to other areas of the department/business as and when requested
• Ensure that the department's machines are kept in good working condition. Report any major maintenance issues immediately
• The Extrusion of PVC, Polyurethane and other materials.
• Work is mainly manual handling, some of which is heavy.

Skills/Experience:

• Ability to learn quickly

• Good level of numeracy and general education
• Ability to work well as part of team and communicate with other workers
• Ability and willingness to perform manual work
• Previous experience within mechanical engineering, extrusion, injection moulding, and an understanding of pressure and flow would be an advantage.
• Technical Ability

You’ll work the following hours.....

• Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm
• Friday 8am to 1.45pm - early finish on Friday's
