Job summary

AMF Recruitment Ltd is seeking Production Operatives for a permanent role in the Huddersfield/Brighouse area. You will work on rotating shifts to ensure quality products are produced on time, in line with company policies.

The role requires teamwork, adherence to 5S and safety procedures, and the ability to operate and monitor manufacturing equipment. Training is provided, with clear expectations across the shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Evidence of safety minded approach and ability to follow procedures.
• Willingness to work as part of a production team to hit targets.
• Experience in manufacturing environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Winding of braid material.
• Braiding PTFE tube and other materials.
• Reeling up hose and other material.
• Adherence to correct procedures at all times.
• Ensure all documentation is completed on time.
• Apply quality controls and measurements as required.
• Follow safe working practices at all times.
• Perform safety checks and 5S in the department.
• Transfer between areas as needed.

MACHINE OPERATIVE

PERMANENT

Huddersfield / Brighouse Area

ROTATING SHIFT

6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm Monday to Thursday

6am-11.30am, 11.30am-5.00pm on Friday

Due to on-going growth, our client, a large manufacturing business are looking to recruit a number of well versed production operatives to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job Description

To ensure quality products are produced in the required quantity, on time, in a manner in keeping with the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures of the company.

Demonstrate a positive attitude to training and personal development.

Monitor the performance of the process ensuring maximum output is achieved at all times.

Work as a team to ensure departmental targets, company targets and customer deadlines are achieved.

• Winding of Braid Material
• Braiding of PTFE Tube and/or other materials
• Reeling up Hose and or other material
• Adhere to correct procedures at all times
• Ensure that all documentation is correct and completed on time
• Ensure the correct Quality controls and measurements are adhered to
• Adhere to safe working practices at all times
• To perform the necessary safety checks to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the department and to operate in a manner conversant with the training given
• Ensure adherence to 5S in the department
• Transfer to other areas of the department/company as and when requested. All other related aspects of the department.

To be successful in this role, the right production operative will need to be:

• Safety minded
• Computer literacy is desirable
• Must be a team player
• Ability to work to high quality standards
• Ability to work well as part of team and communicate with other workers
• Ability and willingness to perform manual work
• Basic knowledge of computers
• Raise H&S concerns when applicable or when required on rota.

• Experience within a manufacturing role

The successful production operative will be employed permanent from Day 1 and you will be employed by the company.

The shift is.....

6am - 2pm ( £13.45 per hour )

2pm - 10pm ( £13.45 + 20% shift allowance = £16.14 )

With early Friday finishes on both shifts, 6am to 11.30am and 11.30am to 5pm
