Job summary

ROSE & YOUNG RECRUITMENT LTD is seeking an Operations and Sales Supervisor in Corby to lead the Production and Sales Desk teams, ensuring orders are fulfilled on time and safely. You will drive efficiency, coach staff, and implement improvements across manufacturing operations.

The role focuses on day-to-day operations, customer service excellence, and collaboration with the Operations Director to enhance productivity and delivery performance.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising teams in manufacturing or engineering.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads.
• Hands-on leader with problem solving and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support the Operations Director in day-to-day management of manufacturing Operations and the Sales Desk.
• Lead, motivate and develop Production and Sales Desk teams, promoting a positive, collaborative and accountable working culture.
• Plan and prioritise workloads to ensure production schedules, customer orders and Sales Desk activities are completed efficiently and on time.
• Ensure the Sales Desk delivers excellent customer service by supporting the team to meet response times for enquiries, quotations, orders and complaints.
• Monitor Sales Desk performance, identify opportunities to improve responsiveness, communication and overall customer experience.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations to improve productivity, quality, efficiency and workplace organisation.
• Lead continuous improvement activities within the Sales Desk to streamline order processing and reduce administrative waste.
• Provide effective communication between Production, the Sales Desk and other departments to maintain operational performance.
• Provide regular feedback to the Operations Director on team performance and improvement opportunities.
