Hunter Selection are representing a well‑established manufacturing business in Telford seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Manager to lead engineering and facilities maintenance across two sites. You will drive reliability, implement maintenance systems and lead a skilled engineering team.

This role blends strategic leadership with practical engineering involvement, ideal for someone who develops people, improves processes and stays closely connected to day‑to‑day activities.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical or mechanical engineering qualification.
• Experience as Maintenance/Engineering Manager in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership of engineering teams.
• Experience implementing maintenance strategies.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving.
• Hands-on approach to support engineers.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience driving change and improvements in performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance across two sites to improve reliability.
• Manage planned preventative maintenance and reactive work.
• Drive continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
• Support engineers with fault finding and technical challenges.
• Ensure machinery and facilities are well maintained.
• Manage budgets, spares, and contractor activities.
• Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and improvement projects.
• Ensure health & safety, ISO standards compliance.
• Collaborate with senior management on growth objectives.
