Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking an Engineering Manager in the UK to lead a high-performing engineering team at a fast-paced manufacturing site. The role focuses on safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations, driving maintenance strategies and continuous improvement across a critical production area.

You will develop and mentor engineers, manage budgets, and lead capital projects while partnering with production to meet targets and drive world-class manufacturing standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, or similar leadership role within manufacturing.
• Strong people management, coaching and team development skills.
• Experience developing and implementing preventative maintenance strategies.
• A track record of improving equipment reliability and operational performance.
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities.
• Passion for continuous improvement and delivering results through people.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering professionals to deliver safe, reliable plant operation.
• Create and execute maintenance strategies to maximise plant reliability and performance.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and control costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and engineering standards.
• Manage budgets, resources and capital projects.
• Support production teams to achieve targets and business objectives.
