Job summary

Tata Chemicals Europe is seeking an IT Support professional to ensure a reliable and secure technology environment across all locations in the UK. You will deliver first-class support to users, diagnose hardware and network issues, and work with central IT teams on infrastructure projects and cyber security initiatives.

The role requires experience in IT/Infrastructure/Network analysis, strong customer service skills, and the ability to travel across sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT Support, Infrastructure Support or Network Analyst roles.
• Experience supporting a multi-site organisation.
• Experience with centralized or remote infrastructure/network teams.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft and VMware technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class IT support to users across multiple UK sites.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and systems issues.
• Deliver face-to-face, telephone, and remote support; explain technical issues clearly.
• Support local network infrastructure, switches, wireless networks and connectivity.
• Collaborate with Group Infrastructure and Network teams to resolve incidents.

Project & Continuous Improvement Support implementation of new technologies and business systems. Participate in infrastructure, cyber security, networking, and digital transformation projects. Identify opportunities to improve service levels and user satisfaction. Contribute to disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational resilience activities.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in an IT Support, Infrastructure Support, or Network Analyst role. Experience supporting a multi‑site organisation. Experience working with a centralised or remote infrastructure/network team. Strong understanding of Microsoft and VMware technologies and end‑user computing. Experience supporting networking infrastructure and troubleshooting connectivity issues., Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service, Skills which are essential for the role: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with users who have varying levels of IT knowledge. Excellent problem‑solving and diagnostic skills. Customer‑focused with a genuine desire to help people. Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities. Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the business.

It would be great if you had:

Experience within manufacturing, chemical, engineering, or other industrial environments. Knowledge of cyber security best practices. Experience supporting ERP systems such as SAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure a reliable and secure technology environment across all TCE locations.
• End User Support Deliver first‑class IT support to users across multiple UK sites. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and systems issues. Provide face‑to‑face, telephone, and remote support to employees at all levels. Explain technical issues in a clear and non‑technical manner. Ensure excellent customer service and positive user experiences.
• Infrastructure & Network Support Support local network infrastructure, including switches, wireless networks, connectivity, and associated hardware. Monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Work closely with the Group Infrastructure and Network teams to resolve incidents and implement changes. Support cyber security initiatives, patching activities, and technical compliance requirements.
• Multi‑Site IT Operations Provide IT support and coordination across multiple manufacturing and office locations. Travel to sites.
