Job summary

Diodes Incorporated in Greenock, Scotland, is seeking a Manufacturing IT Engineer to develop, enhance and maintain software for automating manufacturing operations. The role focuses on equipment automation, fault detection, maintenance, and yield management to improve efficiency and reduce yield loss.

You will work on projects interfacing with MES, equipment, and 3rd party systems, delivering incremental improvements and ensuring 24x7 operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering / Controls Systems or equivalent relevant experience
• 2+ years relevant work experience
• Demonstratable use of a development language; minimally one of C#, Python, TCL/TK
• The job position requires full-time on-site working.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for equipment automation to interact with manufacturing systems such as MES and maintenance
• Create and maintain automation solutions for equipment communication and data collection
• Ensure real-time data capture and accurate processing of production lots and recipes
• Support business continuity and “always on” solutions for manufacturing operations
