Worcester Bosch invites you to join a placement year internship for Summer 2027 at the Clay Cross Manufacturing plant. This role offers insight into a world-renowned heating brand with a culture of support and community.

You will help maintain daily plant operations in Weld and Press, participate in Continuous Improvement, support product launches, and develop SOPs while balancing desk work with hands-on shop floor tasks.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student (Engineering focused) seeking a 13-month placement.
• Strong organisational and planning ability with workload prioritisation.
• Adaptable to changing environments and able to propose ideas.
• Confident to challenge and create new concepts.
• Capable of taking initiative individually and in a team.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear written and verbal communication across levels.
• IT literate; comfortable with MS Office and specialised systems.

Responsibilities

• Improve and maintain day-to-day operation of the Clay Cross Manufacturing plant in Weld and Press areas.
• Assist in Weld and Press projects on site.
• Lead and participate in Continuous Improvement Projects.
• Support the launch of new products and changes to existing products.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external manufacturing regulations.
• Create and update SOPs.
• Balance office work with hands-on shop floor duties.
• Troubleshoot live manufacturing issues to keep production running.
