Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a hands-on Hardware Manufacturing Engineer to map process flows, lead PFMEAs, and manage equipment from concept to commissioning.

You will coordinate with production partners, drive DFM initiatives, perform FAT/SAT/PAT testing, and troubleshoot on the shop floor. The role requires collaboration across design, quality, optical, mechanical and supply chain teams to scale hardware from prototype to volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, mechatronics or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 1+ years in high-precision hardware, consumer electronics, optics or wearables.

Responsibilities

• Map manufacturing process flows and lead PFMEA evaluations for critical assembly processes.
• Specify and manage production equipment development from concept to commissioning with suppliers.
• Lead equipment qualification including FAT/SAT/PAT, GR&R studies across fabs and partner facilities.
• Propose and deploy bespoke equipment, tooling and automated fixtures to optimize assembly.
• Act as technical interface with contract manufacturers to drive DFM, yield, line balancing, root-cause troubleshooting.
• Solve technical issues on the production line in real time on internal or partner sites.
• Collaborate across Design, Quality, Optical, Mechanical and Supply Chain to take hardware from concept to volume manufacturing.
