Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to support the Optical Engine (OE) Delivery Team in Abingdon. The role focuses on prototyping, characterisation, and transferring opto-mechanical designs to contract manufacturers and production partners.

You will analyse components, perform metrology-driven failure analysis, and help optimise processes for yield and cycle time. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mechanical engineering, strong CAD skills (NX, SolidWorks), and hands-on metrology

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience or equivalent.
• Experience transferring mechanical designs to production.
• Proficient in CAD design software such as NX and SolidWorks.
• Experience operating CMM and CT scanners.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with fast changing needs and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Help transfer designs and processes to CM's & manufacturing partners.
• Understand the mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
• Analyse incoming component data from supplier contract manufacturers for dimensional performance.
• Provide support with failure analysis including metrology and DOE's.
• Support process development (optimising yield, CT, etc).
