Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Leeds, UK, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive operational excellence across production processes. The role focuses on continuous improvement using Lean, Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping to reduce waste, improve quality and support CapEx initiatives.

You will develop, optimise and validate manufacturing processes, monitor OEE, yield and downtime, and present insights to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or Degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing (automotive preferred).
• Proven CI improvements delivered.
• Experience with 5S, SMED, TPM and 8 wastes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead CI projects that reduce cost and waste while improving quality.
• Apply Lean methods (Kaizen, DMAIC) to optimise processes.
• Develop and validate manufacturing processes to meet targets.
• Monitor OEE, yield, downtime, scrap and OTIF performance.
• Create dashboards, KPIs and reports for decision making.
• Support new product development from concept to launch.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
