Job summary

Mativ in Ashton-under-Lyne, UK is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes across mixing, extrusion, calendering, coating, slitting and packaging. You will be the technical expert, drive safety, quality and efficiency, and lead continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred), proven manufacturing process experience, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering.
Proven experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
Strong Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Drive safety culture and ensure EHS compliance.
Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to meet quality, productivity, and delivery targets.
Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
Develop and track KPIs such as Yield and Variability.
Identify and implement process, automation, and efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, R&D, and Supply Chain.
