Job summary

White Label Recruitment Ltd is seeking a practical Manufacturing Engineer for a site-based role in Cleckheaton. You will own lean manufacturing initiatives, drive CAPEX projects from concept to commissioning, and collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.

The role requires hands-on shop-floor presence, strong mechanical engineering knowledge, and a proven track record in implementing Lean, TPM, SMED and 5S.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial manufacturing as Manufacturing/Production/Continuous Improvement engineer.
• Proven Lean manufacturing skills: 5S, TPM, SMED, standard work or value stream mapping.
• CAPEX project management from business case to commissioning.
• Hands-on with production machinery installation or commissioning.
• Strong mechanical engineering and equipment troubleshooting knowledge.
• Structured problem solving and root-cause analysis techniques.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects without direct authority.
• Knowledge of health, safety and compliance requirements (PUWER/Loler).

Responsibilities

• Drive lean improvements on the shop floor across processes.
• Measure and improve OEE; identify losses and implement fixes.
• Lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement workshops.
• Manage CAPEX projects from concept to commissioning and handover.
• Develop technical specs and evaluate equipment proposals.
• Train operators and team leaders in lean methods and problem solving.
• Produce SOPs and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, HSE, Planning, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
